Culloden Company Boy’s Brigade
All sections of the Company participated in The Highland Battalion
Sports Competition at Culloden Academy Playing Fields and had mixed fortunes.
The Anchor section came 3rd in their event and Junior Section where
also in 3 rd position in their competition but the young men of the Company
Section managed to win the Company Section event for the second year in
succession
On the last weekend in May 16 boys and 2 Officers from the company along
with boys and officers of the 2nd Inverness (Ness Bank ) joined
together to hold a weekend camp at the Battalion Campsite at Carrbridge to
celebrate 125 years of camping in the Boys Brigade, This was the weekend BB HQ
asked as many companies as possible to hold camps through the UK. We had an
excellent camp and the weather was very favourable after the high winds earlier
in the week.
The Company has now enrolled for the new Session, Anchor Boys for boys
of P2/3 meet at the Barn each Thursday from 5.15pm till6.15pm them the Junior
Section for Boys P4/6 meet from 6.30 pm
till 7.45pm. The Company Section for P7 to S6 meet also on a Thursday at
Duncan Forbes School from 7.30pm till 10.pm Any new members will be made most
welcome so please encourage any boy to come along and join a very commendable
organisation
